This work was carried out to study the morphology of the sub-basin of the Horizonte stream, Alegre, ES, to generate useful information to compression of the environmental dynamics that occurs at this location. The parameters involving the geometry characteristics of topography and drainage were determined by processing computer application in ArcGIS 9.3®, based on data from the IBGE topographic maps digitized on a scale of 1:50,000. The results show a bank geomorphometric variables potentially useful for elucidation, understanding integrated planning and the use and occupation of rural and urban area of study. Overall, it was found that the sub-basin has an area of 13.18 km² (stretched format), not subject to flooding, 295.89 average elevation and 560 m of the altimetric amplitude, strongly undulating topography with a slope of 24.58%, dendritic drainage pattern with low density (1.67 km km-²), a small river hierarchy (3rd order), length of main river of 9.93 km, sinuosity index of the drainage network (31.14%), classified as rambling and channel, and North predominant orientation (23.86%).
