Abstract

The evaluation of genotype x environment interaction becomes very important in improving, since in the case of its existence, the possibility of the best genotype in one environment than in another. The objective of this study was to evaluate the interaction genotype x harvest cycles and the performance of sugarcane RB clones in the Region of the South Coast of Pernambuco. We evaluated cane yield (TCH) and sugar likely (TPH) in hectare and pol percent in the cane. The predominance of the complex fraction of genotype x harvest cycles for productivity of cane and sugar in the first cycles, suggests that specific strategies should be adopted for the improvement and management of clones in the harvest cycles. It is suggested that the RB992541 clones, RB992542, RB992547, RB992548, RB992559 and RB992570 be tested again to cane yield and sugar in other environments in the Zona Mata of Pernambuco, because their performances similar to varietal standards.
