The use of extracts and oils obtained from plants has been suggested as an alternative control of pests, because they are selective, biodegradable and have few effects on non-target organism. Therefore, the objective of this study was to value the effect of aqueous extract of leaves of neem (Azadirachta indica), fruits of chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens) and rough oil of jatropha (Jatropha curcas) in different concentrations, in order the management of the cabbage aphid Brevicoryne brassicae. The mortality of individuals was accessed in function of time after spraying. The mortality of B. brassicae followed an increasing standard with the evaluation days, with the highest mortality rates were obtained at 72 h after application of the extracts and oils. The different species of plants tested were efficient in the management of B. brassicae. However, the jatropha oil was shown more efficient compared to other species tested, due to the higher aphid mortality in the first 24 and 48 h after spraying.
